GAS is no joke. it is literally a stupidly infectious disease among new photographers. for those who have not come across the term, GAS stands for gear acquisition syndrome. yes, i got a new camera, a few weeks after acquiring my OM-1N. and yes, it's an OM series camera again: the OM-2N (in black, the OM-1N is in silver and now i've got both colors). i got it for ¥1000 at a thrift store.

with the newly acquired camera body and lenses, i went on a short trip organized by my lab to Nagatoro in Saitama. it's basically a bonding event for newcomers and existing members to get to know each other more. are we getting closer? probably. the language barrier is still there - i couldn't express myself well and neither could they. set that aside, let's not forget that i enjoyed myself a lot and had a great time in a remote small town surrounded by nature (with my new boy OM-2N of course).
